• Shift: 24-hour call shifts, 8:00 AM – 8:00 AM
• Hours/Week: 40 hours (including clinic and on-call duties)

• License/Certs: Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology, VA license, BLS, DEA
• Experience: Minimum 1 year in Hem/Onc

• Hourly Pay Rate: $5,070.00

What You’ll Do:

• Provide inpatient and outpatient hematology and oncology care at multiple facilities
• Support inpatient consultations and outpatient clinic visits
• Manage a patient volume of approximately 15 patients daily, ages 18+
• Conduct inpatient assessments, telehealth consults, and complex case management
• Collaborate with nursing staff and multidisciplinary teams
• Support on-call responsibilities during scheduled shifts, including maintaining clinic operations during on-call weeks
• Document patient encounters thoroughly in Epic EMR

What You Need:

• Active VA medical license (must have in hand before start date)
• Board Certification in Hematology/Oncology
• BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of Hem/Onc experience
• Clean background, no MP history
• Ability to work flexibly across multiple facilities

About the Assignment:

This role involves floating between two premier facilities in Big Stone Gap, VA, providing specialized hematology and oncology care to adult patients. Providers will treat both inpatient and outpatient populations, supporting a comprehensive cancer program with dedicated nursing staff and advanced diagnostic capabilities.
