Job Summary: To facilitate student success and growth in academic and interpersonal skills through implementing district and state approved curriculum; documenting teaching and student progress/activities/outcomes; addressing specific educational needs of individual students by creating a flexible, safe and optimal learning environment at school; and providing feedback to students, parents and administration regarding student progress, expectations and goals.

Primary Responsibilities: - Must have good communication skills, be flexible, and patient.
- Strive to build strong and positive relationships with assigned students and families
- Develops and administers approved curriculum consistent with school district goals and objectives.
- Develops lesson plans to maximize learning opportunities in order to meet the needs of all learners
- Provides meaningful feedback of student learning, and differentiates instruction to meet individual needs.
- Promotes a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized and small group instruction that are aligned to building and district goals.
- Organizes and maintains accurate records, grades, and reporting for all student activities, achievement and attendance as required by district procedures and applicable laws.
- Continues to acquire professional knowledge and learn of current developments in the educational field by attending seminars, workshops or professional meetings, or by conducting research.
Certification Requirements: - 5-12 Mathematics - Iowa Board of Educational Examiners
